Care Workers Job Descriptions

| Care workers
caring for animals animals in a number of different places,
such as animal rescue centers and animal sanctuaries. They
also work as assistants to animal welfare centers Blue Cross
adoption, animal collection officers of the Humane Society,
or ancillary care of animals in animal hospitals.
As an animal care worker tasks may include:
· Preparation of food and animal feed at the right time
· Maintain clean animals, grooming and treatment of parasites
and fleas
· The exercise of dogs in a yard or take a walk
· Cleaning of cages, pens and cages and changing bedding
· The care of animals that become ill or distressed.
Key Skills
· a real interest in working with animals
· the ability to handle animals patiently, gently and
confidently
· the ability to cope with upsetting situations like
working with animals which have been ill-treated or injured
· Willingness to do dirty or unpleasant tasks.
