Animal technicians
are responsible for the care and welfare of animals used in
medical and veterinary research. Some are also involved in
experimental work.
As coach of the animals that he would contact every day with
the animals - mainly mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs,
but sometimes also other types such as monkeys, dogs, cats
and farm animals.
It could perform routine tasks, including:
· Provide food and water for animals and the organization
of special diets if necessary
· Carry out regular observations and health controls
· Make sure the animals are clean, comfortable and behaving
as expected
· Maintain a high level of hygiene
· Heating control, lighting and humidity
· Control of animal weight and growth.
