Immigration support staff will help maintain
effective immigration control, by checking that people are
legally allowed to enter and remain in the United Kingdom. As an assistant immigration officer (AIO) your duties will include: · Passports and work permits control • Persons interviewing to enter the UK · Take the fingerprints · To help immigration officials monitoring the work · Organizing to bring people who are not allowed to stay in the UK · Issuing forms and carry out office work · Treat with airlines and shipping companies · Handling telephone inquiries. They work closely with immigration officials and police.
