Bookmaker Job Descriptions

Bookmakers can work "in progress" or "off course". Off course bookmakers, also called betting shop managers, licensed betting offices run. Of course bookmakers, or turf accountants, work in betting shops in the location - usually horse or dog racing tracks.
As a bookmaker, which would manage and coordinate all activities of gambling. This may include:
· The development of ATM equipment
· Take the money and pay stakes wins during busy periods
· Recruitment and training of new staff
· Treatment of complaints
· Establish sales targets
· Balancing the accounts at the end of the day.
· The interest and ability to keep up to date with sport and other related events.
