Computer numerical control
(CNC) machinery is commonly found in manufacturing and engineering
and as CNC machines, which would cut, drill, shape and finish
products and components (including parts of the machine tools
themselves) . That work mainly with metals, but can also deal
with wood, composites and plastics.
Your day to day duties may include: · Programming the machine tool with data taken from technical drawings · Planning the most efficient order of operations of the machine for each job · Select the right tools for each stage · Setting the cutting speed and tolerance
