| Chefs
are responsible for preparing food using a variety of cooking
techniques. In large kitchens they usually work as part of
a team responsible for a particular area, such as bread and
pasta or vegetables. The chef, also known as the executive
chef or maitre de cocina ', is responsible for running the
entire kitchen.
