Community Nursery Nurse Job Descriptions

Childminders offer community services to improve health and wellbeing of families with children up to eight years old.
As caretaker of the community usually work closely with health visitors to assess the needs of a family of care. Then, often working independently with the family after an assistance agreement or game plan.
Your customers may include:
· Families with sick children

· The vulnerable families with mental health problems, addiction or disability
• Children who need protection.
They can offer support in both clinics, community centers or general practitioners, and clients' homes. Tasks may include:

To evaluate the development of children and referral to other professionals when appropriate
• Demonstrate the importance of play in the development of children through the creation of individual activities play in customers' homes, or group sessions in the community
· Helping to create groups to discuss ways to deal with specific problems such as behavior management, weaning and bowel control
· Provide information and advice to families on topics such as vaccination of smoking, diet and stop
· Advice on home safety, accident prevention, and playing it safe
· Advice and support in providing breastfeeding
· The information to health visitors or midwives in the community about any concerns, such as signs of abuse or neglect.
