Arts Workers Job Descriptions

Community arts workers help local communities
to plan, organize and participate in artistic activities such
as theater, dance, mural painting, photography, creative writing
and film and video production.
As a worker in the arts community, which mainly works in areas
of social, cultural or environmental, to improve the quality
of local life. This often involves working with other organizations
such as health, youth and education.
Tasks may include:
• Supporting existing groups and develop new groups and activities
Work with local community groups to identify local needs and
concerns
The creation
of works of art for the community or
· Help community members to develop their own ideas
· Meetings of leadership and training
· Advice on grants, sponsorships and other funding sources
· Writing bids and funding proposals, managing budgets and
general administration
· Interest Promotion and support of potential donors, arts
workers and community members
· Activities for dissemination through the press, local radio,
leaflets and posters
· Management of projects, making sure to stay the course and
evaluate the success they have been.
Key Skills
