Legal Adviser Job Descriptions

Court legal advisers, sometimes known as court
clerks, are qualified lawyers who advise magistrates in England
and Wales on the law.
Judges serve on a voluntary basis and do not need qualifications
law, so that their primary duty as legal adviser would be to
explain the law and legal procedures for judges. You may advise
them on possible sentencing options, but never judge a case.
His work also may include:
· Preparation of court sessions and ensure that all relevant
documents and exhibits are ready
° Charges read to the court
Procedural stage of legal aid applications
· Advice on other areas such as the Juvenile Court, Family
court proceedings and licensing boards
· Management of cutting programs
· Collecting data and statistics cases
· Provide training for magistrates.
