| As a deckhand, who would be part of the crew
of an offshore fishing vessel, which could range in size from
a small boat with five or six people, a factory ship with between
20 and 30 on board. You can work around UK coastal waters (known
as the "limited area"), or travel further a field
to more distant fishing grounds ("unlimited area"),
for example, the North Atlantic. His duties while at sea, including:
· Preparation of deck areas and fishing equipment · Use the sending network · Take new networks with capture · Classification, gutting and preserving fish · Download the catch back to port · Repair and maintenance of basic equipment damaged nets · To help ensure that the ship is kept clean and tidy · Cooking for the crew (some ships).
