work in many different products, including books, newspapers,
magazines, websites and newsletters, web-based (sometimes
known as e-journals). Becoming an editorial assistant is a
common starting point for a career in publishing.
In the printed publication,
his work as editorial assistant include:
· Serve as liaison with creativity, writing, production and
marketing staff
To act as a meeting place for freelance writers
· Databases maintain spreadsheets and other documents per
day
· Review and sometimes documents text editing
· Treat with rights and permissions
To act as personal assistant to commissioning editors
· Terms of the general's office, including photocopying

· Analysis and manipulation of images using editing software
like Photoshop
· Using the page layout software such as QuarkXpress
Support for editing decisions, for example, reviewing manuscripts

Correcting text fragments prepared for publication by the
physical and the manuscript of the author (or "copy").
They often work in books, but you can also edit articles for
magazines as well as the text of the brochures, instruction
manuals and online publications.
As a copy editor should:
· Errors of spelling, grammar and punctuation
· Make sure the text is in the style editor or publishing
("house style")
· Make sure that the text's meaning is clear
· Check that the references are cited correctly and images
have the correct titles
· Verify that the potential legal issues, such as defamation,
bias or violation of copyright
· Resolve queries the author
· Consult the author in case of an extensive review of the
text is necessary
· Step of the edited copy of the typesetter for the format
on pages that look like the finished book or object ('test'
page).
