Engineering Technician Job Descriptions

| As a technician in electronics, engineering,
would the design, construction and repair of components that
depend on low-power electricity. Their work can cover analog,
digital and microelectronics in a wide variety of fields,
including:
· Telecommunications - mobile phones, radio and TV
· Medical science instruments - clinical and laboratory devices
· The programmable control systems - manufacturing and industrial
machinery
· Data communication - computers, PDAs, ATMs and electronic
points of sale (EPOS) terminals.
His exact duties will depend on where you worked, but could
involve:
Design of printed circuit boards and wiring diagrams, computer
aided design (CAD)
Investigate and develop new ideas and products
· Testing prototype products and analysis of results
• Construction and installation of electronic control systems
used in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)
· Inspection and calibration of instruments for quality control
• Establishment of maintenance programs for industrial and
commercial equipment
· Find and fix equipment failures.
