| Health service managers are
responsible for making sure a hospital or health organization,
runs efficiently and effectively. Its aim is to provide patients
and other users with the best service possible, taking into
account facilities available, finance and personnel.
As manager of health services, their functions may be:
· Supervise staff and take responsibility
for the work they do
· Treat the affairs of the day to day operation
• Use of statistical information to monitor performance and
assist with long-term planning
· Establishment and maintenance of budgets
Create and carry out the objectives of the company
• Implement the policies of the board, so that government
guidelines are followed
Work with clinical staff and other professionals
· Management of contracts.
