Visitor Job Descriptions

The health visitors are registered nurses with experience
and qualifications or midwives who work to promote health
and prevent disease in the community. They spend most of their
day visiting people in their homes, especially mothers and
children under five years.
As a health visitor to provide information, practical assistance
and support to help customers cope with the difficulties they
are experiencing. It could work with a broad section of people
in the community and their responsibilities often includ
· Advising older people on health issues
· Provide advice to mothers on issues such as hygiene, safety,
nutrition and sleep
· People of advice on topics such as postpartum depression,
bereavement, or being diagnosed HIV positive
· Co-coordinator of childhood immunization programs
· Clinics special organization or shelters.

· The ability to interpret body language and other
non-verbal communication
