Hotel receptionists are responsible
for making guests feel welcome, dealing with room bookings
and cancellations, and handling general requests made by clients
during their stay. As a receptionist at a hotel, its main functions include: · Treat with reservations and cancellations by phone, email, letter, fax or face to face · Checking guests in the hotel, allocating rooms and handing over the keys · Verification of people outside the hotel, preparing invoices and receive payments · Handling of foreign currency
• Take and transmission of messages to customers · Treat with special customer requests such as booking tickets for the theater or storing valuables · Questions unanswered about the facilities at the hotel and its surroundings · Treatment of complaints or problems. In the larger hotels, we use a computerized system for reservations and maintain room reservations and details of availability per day. That would work as part of the team and can specialize in a specific aspect of this function, such as telephone reservations or boxes. In small hotels, its functions may include a wide range of tasks such as showing guests to their rooms and serving drinks at the bar. |
