IT Support Technician Job Descriptions

IT technical support, sometimes known as IS support staff, help to find and fix software and hardware problems for computer users. They can work as part of a team within your own organization or external support to business customers.
As an IT support technician, operating locally or remotely by phone, email or by using web-based applications. The typical day to day duties include:
· Talk with the client to determine the exact nature of a fault

· Equipment Fixing, which could also include printers and scanners (peripheral)
· Installation and configuration of new equipment and upgrade existing systems
· Testing and servicing equipment
· Recording of the problems and their solutions for future reference
