| As an information scientist, it would work
to ensure that high quality information and updated, is easily
accessible to colleagues and clients. You may be known by
other titles such as information manager, information officer
or knowledge manager.
Its main task would be to develop effective systems of organizing
information for users. Their work may include:
· Cataloguing, classification and storage
Investigate and acquire new resources
· Make information is current and complete
· Respond to research inquiries from colleagues, bosses or
clients
· Management of electronic information, for example, the development
of intranets or the design easy to use search engines
· Make information systems to comply with data protection
laws
· Writing reports, documents and web site content
· Manage a budget of Information
· Training colleagues the use of information systems.
