Q How long do you plan to stay in this role, If I offer you the JOB?
A The answer for this question can be quite revealing in regards to your character and how your idea of professional development will affect the company’s needs.

Points you need to be aware of;
Try to express your ambition for personal development within their company. You do not want to be perceived as someone who will get up and leave once they have gotten what they want.
However, ensure that the interviewer does not perceive you as being the type of person that grows too comfortable and complacent and that you are just looking for somewhere to see out the rest of your days. Businesses are looking for people that want to take the bull by the horn – that act and not react.
Outline what you intend to bring to the company.
Emphasize that you are intent that any professional development will contribute a whole lot to their company.
A brief example;
I approach every new job with a long-term plan. I would like to think that I can make a positive contribution to the company for the foreseeable future. Looking to fresh new outlook to your well established company.

Q What kind of salary are you seeking for?
A

Tread carefully with this question – you can really shoot yourself in the foot here if you answer wrong.
If you state a salary too low for the role applying for/experience/ qualifications – you can be seen as either selling yourself too short or not having the confidence in your own capabilities to the job. Worse yet – the employer may take advantage and start you on that particular wage.
If you sate a salary too high then you can be seen as overestimating your capabilities and self-importance and in most companies (maybe not in a sales environment) employers are looking for individuals that are not arrogant but capable.
First Answer
I would expect a salary, which reflects the experience and qualifications that I bring to the role. What range do you have in mind?

If the employer asks, what range is that? {Specific amount} The answer is: whatever the market rate is for somebody applying for this position.

Second Answer
I've got a strong background in this industry and my skills are a perfect match for this role. I would expect my compensation to be at the upper end of the position's salary band.
Can you tell me what that salary band is? (You your judgment when it comes to asking this question – as you should already have done your research.)

Third Answer
Based on the information I have about the position, a salary in the range £28,000-£32,000 would reflect the experience and expertise that I would bring to the role.



Q What do you think it takes to be successful in a Company like this
A This question is to determine whether you have done your research on the company, industry and the position that you are applying for.
The key to answering this question is finding firstly what is required for the position and secondly, what the company values in its employees.

I feel that determination; a willingness to work hard and a desire to excel in everything you do are key attributes for a successful employee in a company like ________. A successful employee would also need to handle pressure well, be a great communicator and an excellent team member. These are attributes that have helped me succeed in my past positions and ones that I would like to apply in __________.


Q What do you know about this MY Company
A The interviewer wants to know that you are hungry for this job within their particular company. If you haven't even prepared for the interview, by doing the most basic research, then the chances of you getting the job are close to zero. You can be sure that other candidates will have done their research.
Check out the firm's website (if they have one) and business directories in your local library. You should also contact the firm itself, through their Public Relations department.) Also research their main competitors however always outline and compliment their main attributes and tell them how better they are than the rest in that particular industry.

Answer

Blue star was established in 2002 by Hannah Christian and Rama Ayappah with the objective to deliver quality bespoke training packages to corporate clients. You started out in an office in a back street off of Brick Lane and now you have offices in London, Tokyo, Melbourne, Lisbon, Hong Kong and Honolulu. Blue Star has just won ‘The 2010 Best upcoming International Organisation’ award. Also, you have just launched the sister company,
‘Estrella Azul’ that focuses on the consumer industry.

The interviewer wants to know that you have done your research – plus everyone loves being complimented on his or her successes.


Q What do you know about the position you've applied for
A Again, preparation and research is paramount. Even if you are applying for an entry level position or where training is involved, the interviewer will want to be confident that you will be able to hit the ground running.

Answer
The Media Marketing Co-ordinator reports to the Marketing Director. Her role is to co-ordinate all media advertising, particularly print, radio, and television. The Co-ordinator works with Media agencies to profile advertising opportunities, then, working within a strict budget, she organizes cross-media advertising campaigns. An important aspect of the role is to disseminate the customer response to the adverts in order to measure its success and thus improve future campaigns.

At my last job in Estrella Azul I worked closely with several different media agencies, including some that specialised in new media platforms such as the Internet. I also gained invaluable experience as a member of the team that established ______________ as a national brand by launching _______________ nationwide. I feel that I can bring this expertise to the Media Marketing Co-ordinator role and help _____________ achieve its goal of doubling it's customer base every year for the next three years.

The Translations Project Co-ordinator reports to the Head of Project Management.
Her role is to coordinate all stages of translation projects, monitoring workflow, ensuring the highest standards / level of performance / in terms of efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
An important aspect of the role is ensuring database entries on freelance translators are up-to-date / and accurate / and mark translator work...
