Clubhouse has a unique philosophy where staff work in partnership with members to carry out all the work activities of the programme. Clubhouse also supports members into employment and education with staff support through a number of projects.

PRINCIPAL TASKS

Pre-vocational Work Programme

1. Actively support the operation of a variety of daily work tasks throughout the work day. This could include food preparation, stock control, cleaning, administration, basic accounts, outreach and community support.
2. Break down work functions in manageable tasks appropriate to the capabilities of individual members.
3. Share responsibility of the work functions with the members.
4. Motivate, lead and encourage member participation at all levels of responsibility, working alongside members to complete tasks.
5. Perform any tasks that may be required of members.
6. Initiate/facilitate follow up on members who are sick, absent or hospitalised.
Social Programme
7. Be prepared to work occasional public holidays, if required, on a rota basis within the spirit and policies of the clubhouse.
General
8. Attend and participate in daily and weekly clubhouse meetings.
9. Undertake training as required.
10. Offer support to members in difficulty or in crisis and advise members of counselling resources and relevant support services when appropriate.
11. Motivate members by example and function as a positive role model.

" Under the guidance of the Hornsey Lane manager and team plan and develop activities and opportunities for the Elder groups
" Liaise with local agencies and services to offer guest services and opportunities to elders at the Hornsey Lane Community Centre.
" Work face to face with the Elder groups in the delivery of activities e.g. running quizzes, supporting trips out, assisting with lunches, washing-up etc.
" Assist the Centre Administrator in gathering and compiling data on elder services and obtaining feedback and success stories from elders.
" Be vigilant for any signs of worry, ill-health or other sign that an elder might be ill, unhappy or experiencing stress or anxiety. Reporting this immediately to the Administrator.
" Other duties as specified by the Line Manager

Duties include:
Greeting and welcoming visitors to the charity in a professional manner
Answering telephone calls and receiving messages for staff working in the building

Assisting staff with mail-outs, photocopying and other administrative duties
